What We Do

We are funded 100% by residents and although membership is voluntary, we certainly do appreciate your support.  Our subdivision has two entrances, Belsay and Genesse roads. Each one has large brick structures with shingled roofs, lighting and landscaping. Our subdivision also has cul-de-sacs with center islands to maintain.

Money collected covers the cost of things such as flowers, mulch, lawn mowing, keeping the trees properly trimmed, electricity for the lighting, and water/irrigation service at both entrances.  In addition, the structures need some periodic maintenance. In 2021 the shingles on the Belsay Rd. entrance required replacement and, in the near future, the Genesee Rd. entrance will as well. The responsibility to keep them maintained falls entirely on us, the subdivision residents. Not the City, Township or even the County. The responsibility is 100% ours. Without the support of our residents these services could not be provided and the structures would fall into disrepair.

We also hold insurance policies on the entrances.  Three times in the last 10 years, that I can recall, cars have slid off the road, hitting the bricks and causing structural damage requiring extensive repairs. Heavy masonry structures such as these are expensive to repair and keeping them both maintained, and insured is something we should all value.

Together we can help to maintain the subdivision for the benefit of all residents who live in Kings Pointe.
